Great beach. Walk down the cliffs to some good surf called Pipes. Up the road to the north is Swamis - a rare right point break in San Diego and usually crowded with long board locals, but you won't get the local attitude if you're cool. These guys are regulars so just don't drop in and take your turn in the line up and you'll be fine.
This is one of the best campgrounds along the southern California coast. Camphosts n aides are so helpful, everything is within walking/biking distance. Food is amazing and the store has so many cool items too!! 5 stars baby and we will be back!
Absolutely the most treasured beach for me. Great surf and relaxed , family oriented beach goes... usually not crazy crowded like other SD beaches... tower 15 parking lot is small and off street parking is very limited... be prepared for long waits for parking but once you get one... enjoy the beautiful beach!
Great spot, tucked away from the crowds of downtown Encinitas. Staff is friendly and helpful. Book in advance, because spaces are limited and hard to get. 35$ inland and ocean front spaces start at 50$ up to 75$ depending on whether you require water and electricity hookups. Disabled and or veterans can apply for a CA state park pass that entitles them to 50 percent off camping. Tents and RVs welcome, lots of kids. Lots if fun.
Great beach! Lagoon is lots of fun! Dog friendly. But parking can be tough. Great campground! Can take dogs on the beach near the southern-most part of the campground, by the lagoon. Train is loud, but that is expected. Nice to have Bull Taco, Lourdes & VGs within walking distance!
